"No understand of beings, eh? I understand enough to know vhat gets at you the most." mocked Kramer, holding out his right arm, as he clenched together his fist.
Rapidly, Kramer began to eminate holy energy into the room, a wicked grin etching across his face. The amount he was circulating into the area would undoubtedly be enough to sicken the man, but not cause him any pain. Hopefully, this would help make his point.
"I don't like jayvalkers because vhat happens if a vehicle doesn't stop for you? You, or the people inside could get hurt. Do you vant children to die because you're an impatient bastard? Or vhat if they swerve to dodge you? Vehicles could collide, and kill many people. It's a good thing the car you totaled earlier didn't catch flame, because there vas an infant in their safety seat in the back of the car, vith the mother passed out at the vheel. I would have had to obliterate you had the infant gotten hurt. It's selfish people vith no regard for rules designed to keep people safe that get me the most." he scorned, glaring at Markus. "You can't tell me that you couldn't just jump over the entire damn road, can you?"
Although he was a psychotic, self-centered monster most of the time, Kramer truly did care about the welfare of people as a whole, especially children. Kramer had seen many children die for no reason over his lifetime; he saw no point in allowing people to endanger them just because of lack of insight. Looking over at Maxwell, Kramer frowned, feeling bad for causing trouble in his shop.
"I am sorry Max, but you know how ve handle things around here... and you agree, yes?"

Maxwell shook his head as he replied to Kramer.
"No, but I DO know how YOU handle things around here. And while I agree with the morals, I don't agree with your brand of justice. Now, if you don't mind, Officer Kramer, please... Leave. I'll see to it that this man is educated in our new world, okay?"
Turning his attention to the gold coins, his eyes widened. REAL gold! This was enough gold to pay the rent for a year! What was the guy thinking?!
"Um, yes sir. This'll cover it.."
Unfortunately for Max, he could only talk to one person at a time. He didn't have the ability to speak to a group at the same time using telepathy. He wasn't skilled enough yet.

Breaking his attention, Kramer opened his hand, cutting the spread of energy throughout the room. Look at Max, he kind of frowned, nodding.
"Yes, Mr. Maxwell. I apologize for creating trouble in your shop. Also... it's Chief Kramer now."
Putting his hands into the pockets on the outside of his suitcoat, he looked over at Markus.
"I simply ask that you don't endanger people. That's what rules are for, are they not?" he asked, before turning and making his way from the shop.
Walking down the sidewalk, he began softly talking to himself, the German accent disappearing from his voice.
"Well... he did have a strange energy about him, but it certainly wasn't what I noticed before. I'll still need to keep an eye on that one... he's too unrefined to walk around the city without endangering people."

Markus stood up from his hunched over and feeling really ill position and let out a cough into his hand. Markus turned back to the man still there.
"Well, first day in town I run into...a templar ? Maybe ?"
Markus asked, the law enforcement in his day was far less advanced, the only people he had trouble fighting was people with holy magic and Kurgans that were still living, in the second case most had powers too...well this was so far anyway.

"Uhhh, sort of," said Max. "He's our new chief of police, who happens to possess the ability to use holy magicks. He's supposed to be some kinda celestial, to my knowledge at least. He has a temper, though, and he's slightly insane... Slightly... Insane... His heart is generally in the right place, though. His obsession with keeping the city under control tends to cause problems though. It's a wonder he was promoted. He probably ATE the last chief."
Max dumped the gold coins into the bottom of the register, putting the tray of paper money on top of it. Didn't wanna lose the gold to just ANY robber.

Markus crossed his arms leaning back on the counter.
"Next thing's up for buisness, I'm gonna need a reload on my funds, any idea where I can find...my line of work around these parts ?"
Markus asked looking back over his shoulder at Max.

Max perked an eyebrow in curiosity.
"And just what kinda work is that again? You don't devour children do you? And if you do, please lie to me and say you don't. I don't think my heart can take it!

Markus began laughing for a few moments before begining to speak again.
"Nah, I'm a sort of fighter for hire and such, however I don't harm kids...it's against my code."
Markus repplied standing up again and browsing through the books on the shelves in front of himself.
"So any idea where I can get work ?"

Max sighed and shook his head.
"Sorry, I don't. I usually don't venture out of the neighborhood into the city. I usually just go on journeys in the wilderness, so I couldn't help you there. Perhaps check our newspaper for some classifieds?" he proposed, handing the man the daily newspaper.
"Free of charge!" he said with a smile.

"Ummm well thank you, but what the hell is this, some sort of book or maybe a scroll ?"
He asked holding it out a foot infront of his face and starring at it.
"It appears to be some kind of current events scroll."

"Um... Yeah. That's about right. It's called a newspaper. Somewhere towards the back are some job listings," he said, taking the paper and turning it to the back page and handing it back. Ironically, in big bold letters was an ad for the Severance Police Department, which was looking for new recruits since Kramer was promoted. The last things the city needed right now was to be shorthanded, with all the demons and vampires running about during the night.

Markus looked it over and grinned, noticing this about the police force looking for people giving a bit of a chuckle.
"You see that Max, It would appear the police are looking for new recruits, I wonder what that would entail."
Markus thought for a minute but shook his head and looked over it more.
"Nah I couldn't stand working for that dumbass police chief...hmmm, ummm I have no idea what half these jobs are."

"Well, you'd be patrolling. You'd mostly be in training for awhile, then apprentice to another officer, and then you'd patrol on your own, and go on calls when you're in the area. It's a rigorous process, but you're definitely strong enough. I'd definitely consider it," said Maxwell.
"Otherwise, I can explain some of the other listings."
