I'll bet you're wondering why my mini-profile looks different, right? It's because of some special coding made possible by the guys at ProVision Templates. Anyways, onto the more important things:
Regarding mini-profile backgrounds, they will only show images that are 150 pixels wide. If it's wider, it'll only show the first 150px from the left. As far as height goes, they can be really tall, or really short, though. It all depends on where you're viewing them. My personal suggestion is that your image is 150 pixels wide, by about 650 pixels tall, to accommodate for the full profile page that people see as they PM you, or just click your displayed name. However, I'd put the most important stuff within the first 225 pixels form the top, as most posts aren't TOO awfully long, and don't usually stretch the boxes too much.
What you gotta do, is simply post the image link into the field labeled "Mini-Profile Background", as you modify your profile. Keep in mind though, that the information which makes this code work is stored inside your signature area, so I advise that you use short image URLs, and clear out your signature area so your link can take as much space as it needs. Once your background is in working order, feel free to add whatever you want to the signature, so long as you don't mess up the code which is automatically generated upon posting a mini-profile background.
If you have any questions, PM me, or post it in the Question board.
Thanks,
Management
