Nia hears a thud from down the hall, she hopes that it's the patient and the fight is over. She watches over her shoulder as the men from FVZA take the body and head and exit through the doors. One stops and tells Nia that they have blocked off the floor and will send a cleaning crew with in a half hour. She nods and heads down the hall, "Father? Are you alright?"

After a few seconds, the wings receded back into Caleith's back side. His eyes and fists stopped glowing. All would be fine if he didn't overexert himself. In truth, he exerted way too much just to take the head off a vampire. Then again, he was unarmed, and didn't have much of a choice... He still could've used less energy. Stepping away from the closet door, he paced slowly towards Nia, trying again to not be obvious, though he was breathing quite deeply, and the sweat was practically saturating his clothing.
"Yes, yes... I'm... fine," he replied, trying to catch his breath.

Nia smiles slightly when she sees the Father, a sigh of relief visibly leaves her body. "Oh, thank god... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have left them alone, I knew that he'd start feeding soon and I didn't give them any warning and now...." She shakes a bit here, "I need to call their families...." She turns and walks towards the station, you can just hear a brief sob and see the shaking off her shoulders.

Finally catching his breath again, Caleith sighed, shaking his head as the nurse walked away. Before he'd pursue her, he had some business to tend to in his notepad. Thus, he sat against the wall after removing it from his pocket, and began writing.
It would appear there's signs of a potential outbreak. A patient at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center has been victimized by a vampire. He exhibited every stage of turning, including a terribly violent feeding frenzy. Unfortunately, I had to expel the man myself. Even more so, Severance could very well be facing an infestation of vampires, or at the very least, an sudden drop in population due to infections. It's looking even worse for this city, and it appears my work is cut out for me to cleanse without the holy fire of a thousand archangels.
Finishing his quick note, he rose to his feet and pursued Nia, hoping to console her upon finishing her task at hand.

Nia hangs up the phone with the last family member and watches as the clean up crew takes the last body and heads down to the morgue. She buries her face in her palms and begins crying once again. She hears Calvin as he walks up and quickly tries to dry her tears. "I'm sorry," she whipers.

"Mmm, it's quite alright, Nia," he began as he approached, resting a hand on her shoulder. "You did what you could. Even by having someone watch him more carefully, it only would've slowed him down for a mere second or two. There's no one on hand that's equipped to take these things head-on."
He tried to calm her down, but Caleith found it pretty difficult. His voice wasn't exactly one that was capable of calming others.

Nia lifts her head, "I know, but this doesn't make it any easier. I just wish...." She sighs and pulls out the paperwork to write down an incident report. She understands that he's trying to comfort her, but she's beyond comfort now.

Caleith only sighed, shaking his head. He knew she was pretty well lost at the moment, and it wouldn't do him any good to stick around. Instead, he thought he might return to his quarters for the night, to better analyze the situation at hand.
"I'll pray for you," he said as he made his way down the hall, intending on exiting soon. "Please, try not to be too hard on yourself, Nia..." he said before turning the corner into the next hall.

It had been a few hours since the attack. The phone calls had been made and Amy was in stable condition. Nia resigned to sit in her office and continue crying over everything. She had picked up the ancient book and was crying over it when her husband arrived.
"Nia?" Amour slipped into the room, "I'm sorry I couldn't come in sooner, there's been some complications."
"It's fine, Mr. Seward has been taken care of and the casualities have been taken to the funeral home. Amy has been stabilized." Nia sighs.
"And what about you?" He stood beside her and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"I'm okay...."
"Do you know if the father will be in again tonight? I'd like to talk to him."
"I don't know actually. Maybe?"

Unfortunately for them, the Father would not be in anymore until the next evening. He had some... Business... To tend to. However, there would be another visitor, as the half-demon entered the complex, carrying what appeared to be an elderly lady over his shoulders. She had been attacked just moments before, and Lukas happened to find her as he was taking a stroll through the city for reasons which shall remain a secret, for now.
Approaching the front desk, he opened his mouth to speak.
"This woman has been attacked. I didn't have a phone to call for an ambulance, and she was just around the corner... Do something," he said calmly, though the chill in his voice was enough to send ripples down someone's spine.

The buzzer went off in Nia's office. Someone had brought in a person. She got up and gave a quick kiss to Amour. "Excuse me."
She walked to the front desk and saw that the clerk had gotten a wheelchair and was taking a woman to the exam room, there was a man standing near the desk. "Sir, may I speak with you? This is only a precaution and to fill out the paperwork. Allow me to get the papers and a pen."

"With all due respect, ma'am, I don't need no damn papers!" Lukas growled at the woman. "This old lady here has been attacked. She's bleeding. From the neck... Vampire attack. I just missed the act, but I sure as hell heard it. Treat her now, or you'll regret it!"
Lukas was quite blunt, and slightly out of character. He usually didn't care much for the lives of human beings, since humans were what took away his friends and family. He still had a conscience though, and he knew this lady had no part of it, and probably didn't know any different about angels and demons. In any case, he wasn't going to pass up an innocent life in danger.

Lukas deeply exhaled after she was a good distance away. He still wasn't used to being angry at people, usually because he'd never talk to them before he killed them. No matter, though. As soon as she turned the corner, he grinned a little and made for the stairwell, making quickly for the third floor where a renowned demon hunter was in recovery from a scrap with a few demon moths, thanks to none other than Lukas. Lukas had a way of not fighting his own battles, and letting the lower beasts and demons do his work for him. However, this one was left alive, unfortunately. And so after a couple minutes, he entered the patient's room, unnoticed by any of the night-shift on the floor. Quietly shutting the door behind him, he turned to face the patient, who was still wide awake.
"Well well... It seems I didn't finish my job," said Lukas so sadistically.
"Heh, you're damn right you didn't," replied the hunter, reaching for the drawers at the nightstand.
"I just thought I'd pay an old friend a visit, just to be a good guy for once. It wouldn't pay for you to pull a gun on me now, would it?"
Turns out the drawer was only a distraction, from the patient pressing the alert button on the side of his bed. Lukas, for once, was unaware. And he'd be paying for it very soon.

Nia had just returned to her office when yet another buzzer went off. She sighs and turns back to the door. Amour was with the woman that had come in earlier. She heads back to the desk, "Julie, whats going on on the third floor?"
"I have no idea, Nia, the alarm just went off, but I'm sure someone up there will take care of it."
