"Soul-feeder," Lukas replied, emptying the bottle of scotch. He knocked on the counter to get the attention of the tender. He was in need of more booze, obviously.
"Yes, unfortunately, I have to consume spirit energy in order to survive. Makes it difficult at times, though I tend to aim mostly for hunters, so it's all good. I don't bare much of a guilty conscience when it comes to those damn hunters. I'm sure some of them are genuinely good-hearted folks, but that doesn't make them any better in my eyes. After taking everything away for centuries, I don't think I can bring myself to fully forgive them."

"Over the past century, all I've had has been myself. I never became attached to anyone, and the closest friends I made consist of the people whom I've talked to in bars and such, such as yourself. I had only one thing that mattered to me before that... and she was killed..." stated Shumei, as he hung his head down. Images of the event flashed into his mind, pounding at his very essence for the fact that it was likely just as much him as his foe for her dying.
"Anyways... night seems to be drawing near. I'd say the vampire will appear soon. I'm debating seeking them out, just to see why they're in this city."

Lukas grinned, but shook his head.
"That sounds very appealing, but I'd rather not go looking for trouble tonight. Tonight is a night for new friends. And thus, we should simply go out and party. Have fun at the expense of the city! Perhaps we might demonstrate our abilities somewhere in the park, yeah? It would be best to see what each other's capable of, so we know who's been where. Aside from that, I like making games out of this stuff. We could assign points to random targets. Sound good?"
The half-demon smiled at his own suggestion. It was just the ticket to keep their skills sharpened, and to possibly draw attention of the hunters. Make them come to them rather than go looking for them, as a means of reverse-ambush. It would be amazing to take out at least 5 hunters in one night, at least in Lukas' mind.

"Hm... a demonstration of abilities? Sounds like my kind of party. Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and have the vampire come visit us."
Shumei was more than willing to go mess around the city, especially if it attracted the vampire, or even hunters. If hunters were attracted, Shumei could score himself a new outfit. Although his current outfit of just a t-shirt, jeans, and plain tennis shoes was comfortable, another change of clothes would be nice. Maybe score some money, or even weapons.

"Perhaps, but I'd rather not deal with the person, myself," said Lukas, standing and walking from the bar. The bartender wasn't taking too kindly to the gesture though, as he called back to Lukas.
"Hey, you didn't pay for you drinks!" he called out.
"Yeah, I know."
The bartender wasn't pleased with that at all. "You get the fuck over here and pay up, or I'll..."
"You'll what?" said Lukas as the door shut behind him. Once outside, he emitted a faint, but prolonged screech. Soon enough, a small swarm of a couple dozen cicadas found it's way to the bar, into the vents, and finally into the bar itself. Quickly finding their target, they honed in on the tender, furiously biting and buzzing, screeching and crawling all over the guy, who was quite honestly screaming like a little school girl.
All Lukas could do was grin.

Shumei cringed as Lukas exited the bar. Looking at the bar tender, he shrugged, setting down some extra money.
"That'll cover his drink as well, si-" started Shumei, before noticing that bugs were flocking into the bar. Looking towards the door, he somewhat glared, aggrivated at what could only be assumed to be Lukas' doing. Looking back at the bar tender, Shumei kind of laughed at the mans high-pitched squealing. Snapping his right hand, Shumei chilled the area around the bar tender, keeping the insects at bay. As he walked towards the exit, he looked back at the bar tender.
"Maybe next time, you'll think about being a bit generous at least." he stated, walking outside.

"Hmm, nah," said Lukas. "Just paying humans back for their deeds. It seems suiting that if they take your loved ones, they should pay a price. His price will be free alcohol and insect attacks," explained the half-demon with a smile, pointing downtown.
"The park's this way."

Although Shumei was generally above just messing with normal humans, he had to laugh about Lukas' comment. Putting his hands into his pockets, he nodded at Lukas, grinning.
"It's been a while since I've had the chance to have fun like this." he stated, looking up blankly at the darkening sky.

"Believe me... Half the fun is in the pranks," he began. "I wouldn't KILL a non-hunter unless they were about to kill someone I care about. Just pester them to shit. Any little bit of insanity to keep my own sanity in tact," said Lukas. There would be silence for awhile before he finally spoke up again.
"The park's a bit of a walk from here. I'm considering flying. You scared of heights?" he asked Shumei, who was still starring up at the sky.

"Pranks, eh? Nothing wrong with messing with people a little. Albeit, I generally don't prank people randomly, sometimes I do freeze the ground right under people, and watch them slip and fall. Quite amusing." he stated, chucking lightly to himself.
Hearing Lukas' question about heights caused Shumei to raise a brow, looking at the man bewildered.
"...heights? Not particularly... how come?" he stammered, extremely curiously and slightly nervous at the question that Lukas had asked. The fact that he said fly left him more curious... Shumei was no expert on soul-feeding demons, but flying didn't exactly seem something within their norm.

Shumei would be correct on that. Lukas himself lacked the ability to fly. However, he had some friends who wouldn't mind to give him a lift. Hence, came that signature green aura the emanated from his body, swirling into the air above their heads. Letting out a quiet insect-like screech, and releasing the aura into the air to further disperse, he slowed his pace. After a brief silence, came a single white moth... A very LARGE, singular, white, demon moth. It was about the size of a large horse, and was definitely mountable. The moth had a distinct pattern on the edges of its wings, bearing orange spots trimmed in black.
The moth would land before them and let out a terrible screech as it's crimson red eyes pierced the darkness.
"Our ride's here," said Lukas, grinning as he hoisted himself atop the beast. "Come on! It won't bite you! And make it quick. Too many witnesses will spawn hunters in the area," he warned, taking a quick look around to see if he had already been noticed.

Tilting his head sideways, Shumei looked at Lukas awkwardly, watching as he created a strange, bug-like noise. As silence set in, Shumei began looking around, hearing a rapidly approaching wingbeat. In the distance, he noticed the moth, flying towards them. His jaw dropped slightly upon watching the moth land. As it screeched, Shumei fliched, startled at... well, the moth in general. At Lukas' recommendation, Shumei quickly hopped onto the moth, and Shumei snapped his fingers together. Instantly, he began creating random temperature changes rapidly, creating thick clouds of fog everywhere that could possibly see them.
"I have to know... where the hell does this thing live?" Shumei asked, patting the moth.

As the moth reared back and took it's majestic flight, Lukas grinned yet again.
"Hell if I know. Probably in the wastelands. I'm almost curious about visiting the wastelands to satisfy some rumours I've heard. Some say time itself has ceased in the heart of the region," said Lukas as the moth sailed against the wind, fighting a little harder to be able to make it to the park in good time. Though a beast, the moth still had to satisfy the need of a speedy transit.

"The wastelands sound pretty fucked up. Giant moths and everything... hell, if this thing lives there, I don't doubt dinosaurs for an instant." he stated, noticing the moth attempting to speed up.
Extending his right arm to the side, Shumei began focusing his energy, creating remarkably faint thin lines throughout the air in front of the moth for the remainer of the flight. Snapping his fingers, a shift in temperature created a windflow in favor of the moth, allowing it to speed up even more.

Lukas could feel the sudden acceleration, and knew that the energies at work had something to do with it. He wasn't much at understanding science, but he knew Shumei was working something behind him.
"Too fast and we'll fall right off the damn thing!" he added as he looked back at him, chuckling as they descended.
